The wound care registered nurse manages patients with acute and chronic wounds across clinical practice settings. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education and self management. Administers medications and procedures and influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Identifies and institutes preventive and treatment measure and monitors results of wound care delivered.
