The primary purpose of the nurse practitioner (NP) is to practice to the full extent of their education, training and certification as a licensed independent practitioner to provide healthcare to individuals, families, and/or groups in a variety of settings to include virtual modalities. Clinical privileges will guide advanced practice beyond basic education and are renewed every two years. The NP has prescriptive authority within a program.
